From the Darkness, to Myself

I am Mehdi Souroriyan.

But what gives meaning to me is not merely a name spoken on tongues,

nor even a shining legacy in an industry that dazzles the eye.

What defines me is the path I have taken—

winding roads without a map, without light, without promises.

It was me and the darkness;

sometimes with a trembling heart,

sometimes with breath held tight,

but always, always moving forward.

My childhood was not a story—it was survival training.

While other children played in the alleys,

I was pulled out of the endless embrace of childhood—

not gently, but with a jolt,

like being thrown from a warm dream into relentless cold.
