I wished, and I hope, this story wasn't real, but unfortunately, all the scenes of violence with their details happened in a distressingly true manner. It's the bitter and tragic story of a young girl who leaves her homeland for love, only to suddenly fall into despair and darkness. In a place called exile, she becomes a bird trapped in a cage from which no one but herself can help her escape. It's a shocking, yet very gripping and instructive story.

On one hot summer night in Tehran, Mina first lays eyes on Mehran, a handsome and well-dressed man, at her friend's wedding. Mehran, who had been invited to the wedding with his sister, was living in Sweden. At first sight, he falls in love with Mina and her long black hair. Using any excuse, he manages to sit next to her at the dinner table, strikes up a conversation, and invites her to a luxurious restaurant the next day.

Mehran was on a month-long trip to Iran and didn't have much time to get to know Mina. This leads them to marry quickly, and it is decided that Mina will move to Sweden after receiving her visa. What Mina doesn't know is that behind Mehran's polished appearance lies a hidden secret, and by the time she discovers his dark truth, it's too late. In a foreign land, out of fear of deportation and returning to her homeland, she remains silent and stays in the cage Mehran has built for her, enduring this captivity for many years.
