This novel is Esmaiel Yourdshahian's sixth. It is an attempt by the author to introspect and question the feelings of loneliness and sadness that humans experience in our society. The inspiration for this novel comes from the horrific Bataclan attack. Seeing the images of this tragedy, his attention was caught by a young, bloodied woman lying dead with her hands on her belly. He wondered if she had been pregnant; this young woman could have been the love of his life, his wife, just as she might have been in someone else's life. He then imagines himself as a traveler on a train, reflecting on his life amidst the turmoil of a tragic fate, confronted with the murder of his pregnant wife. On the very night of the massacre, he wrote the first fifty pages of the novel. After a year and a half of work, he feels satisfied that he has faithfully transcribed his thoughts and feelings—those of an Iranian writer and poet immersed in Mithraic culture and its symbolism. He vehemently rejects not only Islamic religious fundamentalism but also the xenophobia that plagues all human societies.

Adèle is a young and beautiful Frenchwoman, a researcher in human sciences at a Lyon university, and a humanitarian activist. Her fate intersects with that of a young Iranian architect named Nader. She undertakes a dangerous journey, under the auspices of the European Union, to conflict zones in the Middle East under the control of the Islamic State. She is welcomed into a disbanded and shocked Yazidi community. She returns profoundly affected by this experience. Chance leads her to the Bataclan one evening in November 2015, where the couple's life is destroyed by Islamist terrorists.

During this work, the writer finds himself imprisoned in a world defined by these characters and projects himself into the mind of each, with love for his neighbor as his sole perspective. Throughout the year and a half of writing, he feels like a schizophrenic, tossed between various psychotic states of mind. This process makes him acutely aware of the immeasurable damage inflicted on his homeland and the world at large by the darkness of a vile belief spreading like metastases.

Ce roman est le sixième roman d'Esmaiel Yourdshahian. C'est une tentative d'introspection et d'interrogation de l'auteur sur les sentiments de solitude et de tristesse des êtres humains dans notre société.L'évènement inspirateur de ce roman est le terrible attentat du Bataclan. En voyant les images de ce drame, son regard est attiré par celle d'une jeune femme ensanglantée, morte, les mains sur le ventre. Après un an et demi de travailil a la satisfaction d'avoir retranscrit le mieux possible ses pensées et ses sentiments, ceux d'un écrivain et poète iranien baigné dans la culture mithraïque et son symbolisme. Il rejette de toutes ses forces non seulement l'intégrisme religieux islamique, mais également la xénophobie qui ronge toutes les sociétés humaines.Adèle est une jeune et belle française, chercheuse en sciences humaines dans une université lyonnaise et activiste humanitaire. Son destin croise celui d'un jeune architecte iranien nommé Nader. Il se trouve alors pendant cette année et demi d'écriture comme un schizophrène ballotté entre divers états d'âme psychotiques. Il réalise ainsi les dégâts incommensurables infligés à ses terres d'origine et au monde globalement par la noirceur d'une croyance abjecte qui se répand telles des métastases.
