The book "Bustan" by Saadi, more precisely known as "Saadi Nameh," is one of the most important works of this great poet. Saadi composed this work in 555 AH (1160 CE). This poetic work is structured in the form of a masnavi and is divided into 10 chapters or sections (babs). Each chapter contains anecdotes that relate to the theme of that particular section. In "Bustan," Saadi discusses ethical, social, and other issues, vividly portraying his ideal city through the verses of this book.
This collection has been prepared with the aim of fostering connections among Iranians and Persian speakers worldwide through the poetry of Saadi Shirazi. In this work, the magnificent masnavi of "Bustan" has been provided in a beautiful and accurate format, presented to you, esteemed reader. Numerous editions of Saadi's "Bustan" have been published by researchers and scholars of Persian language and literature, each holding its own significance and value. However, since our intention with this work was to present a clear and readable text for the general public, we refrained from detailed scholarly annotations for another occasion. Therefore, we have prepared this book based on the appropriate editing and according to the edition by Master Mohammad Ali Foroughi of Saadi's "Bustan". It is hoped that this effort can contribute to showcasing the grand culture of Iran.
