Auto biography
My life, like the lives of many of you, has had its ups and downs. If I want to talk about Saeed Golmohammadi, who is now an international coach, I must go back 37 years (in 1984). I was born and grew up in a middle-class family of five in the city of Ahar. My family valued honesty, integrity, spirituality, and serving others. My late father was always my supporter and motivator, and what I learned from my mother is the light of my life.
During my school years, I realized my passion for teaching and education, a passion I still enjoy. When I was accepted into Shahid Beheshti University and moved to Tehran, I continued to excel in teaching specialized subjects. I formed a team of top students from several universities to offer higher-quality services to students preparing for the university entrance exams. At that time, this initiative was considered a valuable entrepreneurial effort.
My first business experience was a sandwich shop owned by my uncle Akbar when I was only nine years old. I quickly began to think about earning more money, and I started doing whatever jobs I could at that age, along with helping my local friends so they could make a living by selling goods. Looking back now, I realize that from the very beginning, my passion for entrepreneurship was present in many aspects of my life.
In addition to my parents, the most influential people in my life were my grandfather, Haji Ali Golmohammadi, and the late Professor Ahmad Roosta, who played a significant role in shaping my fundamental values, and their memories will always remain dear to me.
Due to my tendency to break norms, I faced many challenges. I remember a time when I entered a field where I had no experience, leading to a heavy financial loss. I struggled with many financial and emotional crises. At that time, I had a period of self-reflection and retreat in nature, searching for answers to my fundamental questions: Who am I? What is my mission in life?
Even now, when I speak of this part of my life, the clarity of that time appears before my eyes. I was able to find myself and start anew. During that period, I thought that if I had had someone to guide me in my journey of self-discovery, I would have suffered less. These thoughts led me to enter the world of coaching and personal development.
After attending international seminars and courses, I founded the "International Academy of Positive Iranian Mindset". In this academy, in addition to managing the academy, I worked as an instructional designer, creating new, transformative, and innovative training programs. We expanded our collaboration with various companies and organizations by conducting seminars, workshops, and courses in coaching, personal development, organizational transformation, and MBTI.
I earned my MBA and DBA degrees, but I also pursued diverse experiences, continuously updating my expertise, skills, and knowledge, believing that this is essential for success. Apprenticeship requires talent, and teaching is an art. I always consider myself a student of life, continuously striving in this journey, and firmly believing that the first principle of deep knowing is diving deeply into the unknown!
I remind myself that the best opportunities arise from the worst threats; the deepest joys emerge from the deepest sorrows; the clearest insights come from the darkest ignorance; and the most stable balance is achieved in the most unstable situations. The greatest pain for a person is the pain of breaking through the shell that hides the treasure of "being oneself."
Perhaps we need to learn a new language—one that speaks not of development or backwardness, success or failure, modernity or tradition, materialism or spirituality, hardware or software, science or art—but rather one that transcends all these, speaking of humanity and humaneness with the goal of realizing its innate nature.
I am particularly interested in classical Persian literature, especially Rumi's Masnavi and the books of Saadi Shirazi. I believe that in these works, there are deep traces of self-knowledge, expressed through the beauty of words and poetry, a form of what we now call coaching.
My interest in literature led me to the vast land of books. I wrote my first book when I was in high school, and it had a good reception. I am proud that at the age of 37, I have authored or translated 128 books in the fields of coaching and personal and organizational development. About 110 of these books have been published by various publishers such as Nasle Novandish, Asim, and Hamoon, and are available on Amazon. Eighteen more are in the process of being published, and I am happy that around four million copies of my books have been sold to date.
In 2019, I immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, and focusing on coaching, I am now managing the Prosperity College of Canada and also teaching. One of the main activities of our college is granting internationally recognized certifications for comprehensive coaching training programs. The truth is, what drives me in this journey is the desire to create something in my lifetime that will remain after me and contribute, even in small ways, to the happiness and well-being of others. I hope to leave behind a positive legacy.
